Recommended Game: All big game short of the coastal brown and polar bears, where we generally recommend 30 caliber magnum cartridges or larger.  

The Hornady® SST® (Super Shock Tip) is designed  to deliver tremendous shock on impact while expanding quickly and  reliably, particularly at higher velocities.

Flat shooting and deadly accurate, it's an ideal bullet for  whitetails, as well as most North American game animals from antelope to  moose and similar-sized African plains game. The SST® creates a devastatingly large wound channel.

This round is desinged to fit and function through standard short action rifles with standard twist rates and works equally well in custom rifles with faster twist rates.  This is a good option for the hunter who prefers a large diameter wound channel with less likelyhood of exit holes.

We measure each powder charge to within +/- .02 grains on our Autotrickler powder systems.  We seat each bullet with Redding competition seat dies on our Forster Co-Ax single stage press.   We load them one at a time!  Each round is hand measured for consistency and placed into our hard plastic, twenty count boxes.  Each box has a foam insert and neoprene strap to keep your rounds secure in the field.  This is loaded ammunition.
