This load was developed using our Ruger American Ranch rifle with the 16.1" barrel.  This load was showing very good accuracy and should make your 450 close to 300 yard rifle.  Hammer recommends an impact velocity at 1,800 fps or more, but says these bullets will work at lower velocities.  Depending on conditions, this bullet should still be about 1,500 fps out to 300 yards. That is really good range for the Bushy.  This is a lead free, all copper, lathe turned bullet for the utmost in consistency.  

We recommend this round for all big game hunting at short ranges.  Best performance will be inside 200 yards, but good performance is to be expected out to 300 yards.

Deer, hogs, black bear would be the best candidates for this round.
